ALTERED SPACE
Rather than present a factual reality, Altered Space fabricates an illusion meant to conjure the realms of our imaginations. The work incorporates time as well as space - a fictional and experimental universe that only emerges bit by bit as you continue to explore it.
The world as we know it changed forever just one short week after the opening reception. COVID-19 reached the region, sending us all into lockdown. Fuego transitioned to take-out only. Casey and I unofficially renamed the show Quarantined Space as it sat on the walls of the shop, isolated behind stacks of tables and chairs.
